How to Share Your Photos Wherever You Go - journeytomemories

My 9-year old daughter and budding photographer was playing with my iPhone the other day, taking sneaky candids of me and texting them to daddy. Just before I managed to wrangle it back from her she noticed my "app" on my home screen and exclaimed "You have your own APP?! THAT IS SOOO COOL!" Although that may have been a diversion on her part to turn my mind from her crime, it did spark an idea.

I never thought before about it as my own app, but when you bookmark a website to your home screen on your iPhone it does look like an app. I was thinking about all the sales ads I've seen lately for photographers to get their customers to buy their photos as a phone gallery app. Well, if you've had your photos done with me then you can have one of those "apps" completely free. All you have to do is bookmark your link on your phone and BAM! You now have a digital set of wallets to show off anywhere you are.

I'm sure there is a way to do this on other types of phones, but these instructions are for an iPhone running iOS7. See below for steps if you haven't done this before. If you have another phone and another way of doing this, please share in the comments below!

STEP 1: Open Safari on your your iPhone and navigate to your web gallery. The easiest way to do this would be to ask me to text you your link so that you can open it directly. You will be sent to your password screen as always to keep your photos safe.

STEP 2: Locate and tap on the upward arrow icon in your browser.

STEP 4: Rename your link if you like and then tap "Add" at the top right-hand side of the screen.

All done! Enjoy showing off your own photo "app" to all your friends, family and strangers on the train.
